Furthermore, they offer a convenient breakfast packaged to-go, which includes a variety of items like yogurt, juice, and a delicious breakfast sandwich—a great way to start a busy day of exploration.
While the amenities fit well within the two-star category, guests appreciate the cleanliness and simplicity of the rooms. As Holly C noted, the hotel’s proximity to attractions and free parking are significant perks. The hotel offers choices regarding room selection upon check-in, allowing for a more tailored experience. Though there were some remarks about the surrounding area, particularly concerning noise from construction and some local homeless individuals, many visitors, like Janine Paddock, found the room conditions pleasant enough to look past these concerns.
Comfort Inn SeaWorld Area is situated in a bustling commercial zone, filled with outdoor shopping, quick dining options, and vibrant entertainment at Pechanga Arena. This makes it an ideal spot for those looking to make the most of their stay in San Diego. However, it's worth noting that guests with larger vehicles should be cautious about the narrow parking spaces the hotel offers.
Overall, Comfort Inn SeaWorld Area is all about delivering value. With clean rooms, friendly service, and access to a variety of attractions, it remains a reasonable option for both solo travelers and families. Whether one is drawn in by the excitement of San Diego or simply seeking a comfortable place to rest their head, the Comfort Inn provides a solid foundation for any visit.
“ I came here with high expectations and I was not disappointed. I was on the second floor near the back much less noise from construction. Yes it was crowded for breakfast but hey ; that’s okay with me. Food could be better quality , but I enjoyed the waffles, fruit and bagels w cream cheese. Clean rooms. Great service. Lots of good food in the area. Pretty quiet at night. I’m not hard to please if the environment is stable and I felt safe. I recommend! I didn’t see any roaches so wont complain. I would definitely stay here again. There was homeless in the area but not on the property. Where I’m from it’s flooded w homelessness - so it didn’t bother me. Peace Love Happiness Unbothered ”
“ Pros: For a 2-star hotel, this one is pretty good! It's about 10-20 minutes from most nearby attractions and locations, including the beach and downtown San Diego. Rooms are simple but clean and I was offered a choice on which floor I preferred when checking in, which was very nice. Parking is free so long as you display the pass they give you. Cons: Those with bigger vehicles be warned: the parking spaces are narrow! I drive an SUV and even when parked right in the middle of the spot there still isn't much room. The area surrounding the hotel is fairly rundown. There's a strip club around the block, so if you're traveling with children take care to not drive down that road. Lastly, my room was HUMID! Book pages warped and medication gel capsules became squishy. The difference between the outside and inside humidity was very tangible. Unsure if this issue was just with my room or if it's a common issue (hopefully not). ”
“ The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We did have an issue with our toilet but once it was reported maintenance came within five minutes. Breakfast is in a bag, and it includes a water, orange juice, yogurt, orange, granola bar, and a croissant sausage breakfast sandwich. The area is convenient because it’s close to a lot of things however, there are a lot of homeless around the area. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The walls are thin and you can hear construction. Housekeeping was very kind, friendly, and helpful. They provide shampoo, conditioner and lotion. The hotel has free underground parking that we would recommend using. Overall, this is a hotel that I would recommend if you are looking to stay in San Diego on a budget. ”
“ Everything was fine with this hotel. I reserved through Expedia. They sent a message a day before to confirm my arrival. Check in was smooth. We were able to get a crib and extra blankets for our family. Beds were pretty comfortable! Parking spaces are very narrow, but they have plenty of extra parking in basement. My only concern was that it’s right next to a Nude Theatre and Adult Store…. It’s also close to several stores and restaurants which is convenient, but I felt uneasy about being with my family at a hotel next to the nude theatre. ”
“ Lots of action happening in the area. I was a little nervous upon checking in on a Sunday. There was construction work going on late until the afternoon, but before I knew it had finished. The area is rough. The room was nice and the breakfast was perfect. I would book again. ”
